About Audrey
Art as a Lifestyle
Audrey was born in California and raised in a heavily art-influenced home. Being a single, working mother with three kids, Audrey’s mother turned their home into an art studio for children and adults. In turn, Audrey followed her mother’s footsteps and began her artistic journey by learning the fundamentals of painting when she was in elementary school. As she moved into highschool, art became an outlet and escape from outside stresses. Then while studying at Brigham Young University, her interest in landscapes took hold as she was surrounded by a variety of changing nature.
Being in Utah’s nature brought nostalgia and transported her back to memories of sunsets on the beach, looking up at the pillowing clouds from her mother’s garden, and hiking through trees with her siblings
Audrey currently resides in Tennessee with her husband and daughter. While caring for their daughter, Audrey continues to be inspired by the dense, rolling hills and vast Smoky Mountains.
Inspirations
Audrey is inspired by Impressionist artists such as Claude Monet.
She is interested in the way light can affect the shape, textures, and emotions of a particular scene.
Using the landscapes in her surroundings, Audrey seeks to captivate the interplay between the sky and the earth, as well as the depth and mood created by multi-layered cloudscapes.
